I found a turtle on this hike!

joe perez, lmhc

Hi! My name is Joe and I’m a licensed mental health counselor. Using evidenced-based approaches to counseling I help children, adolescents, and adults conquer anxiety, depression, and difficult behaviors.

My approach to counseling aligns with the belief that each person has the capability to transcend the obstacles in their environment. I worked to do this by returning to school as an adult to pursue becoming a counselor. I had many anxieties and doubts along the way, but with support and an open mind I was able to achieve this goal.

You have the ability to defeat the apathy, fear, doubt, and anger that prevents you from being who you most want to be. The counseling room I nurture is an unconditionally accepting place to explore and identify what you need to move forward in life for yourself and your family. You are on the path to feeling the clarity, peace, and joy that you seek!

Hi, I’m Courtney! Using evidenced-based approaches to counseling I help adolescents and adults heal through life’s stressors, trauma, and the effects of substance use disorder. I am also passionate about helping others heal from difficult experiences that may have occurred based on gender and other aspects of our intersectional identities.

I believe that we are all the experts in our own lives, and that it’s helpful to process our experiences in order to get to know ourselves on a deeper level. My approach to counseling starts with acknowledging you and your experiences, and working together to help you feel more empowered and capable of change. I use person-centered, mindfulness-based, and trauma-informed care to build a therapeutic relationship that is safe, secure, and validating.

Together, we can work on learning to be present, letting go of worry and stress, and moving through your experiences and relationships with ease. I look forward to meeting with you!
